Raymond Lloyd Henry

Rev. Raymond Lloyd Henry, age 85, of Corryton, began eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ April 29, 2013. He was a minister for 56 years, pastoring six area churches. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church and a member of Corryton Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Mason with Knoxville Scottish Rite. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by wife Violet Garrett Henry, parents Luther and Stella Henry, and sister Aileen Pierce. Survivors include son Daryl (Glenda) Henry, daughter Janice (Larry) Jones, grandchildren David (Mardi) Jones, Lori Jones, Michelle (Jason) Leadbetter, and Julie Henry, great granddaughters Hannah and Madison Jones, and Macy and Sophie Leadbetter, sister Kathleen (Rev. Herbert) Jones, brother-in-law Billy Ray Pierce, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the main floor nurses of Beverly Park Place. Pallbearers will be Jason Leadbetter, Brian Pierce, Don Jones, Argil Vineyard, Doug Johnson, and Allen Johnson. Funeral services will be held 8 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Dr. Damon Patterson and Rev. Jerry Vittatoe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home to proceed to Fairview Cemetery for interment at 11 am. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
