Ray Eugene Quinn, age 69, of Fountain City, passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2014. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. After graduation from Fulton High School, Ray worked for KUB as a lineman and troubleshooter until an accident while repairing lines forced him into early retirement. After recovering from the accident he earned his real estate license and worked for several years as a successful agent for Century 21 AAIM of Knoxville. Throughout his life Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved hosting family gatherings, experiencing the great outdoors and making people laugh. Ray was preceded in death by parents Raymond Otto and Gertrude Oneida (Denton) Quinn and sister, Gladys Faye Clemens. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda, daughter and son-in-law Robin and Ed Wright, daughter and son-in-law Kim and Chris Kelley, son Randy Quinn, son Kevin Quinn, step-son Chris Patterson and step-son and daughter-in-law Matt and Julie Patterson. Papaw also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to cherish his memory. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tennessee Wildlife Federation or the National Rifle Association in memory of Ray Quinn. Family and friends will meet 9:45 Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Dandridge, TN. for a graveside service at 10 am. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
