Raymond "Danny" Gaylor

Raymond “Danny” Gaylor, born October 12, 1946, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025.

Danny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kindness and love for life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Davies, and stepfather, Thomas Davies. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda Gaylor; his son, Darren Gaylor, and wife, Suzie; and his cherished grandchildren, Megan Gaylor, Josh Gaylor, and Lola Smith.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Danny served his country with honor. His passion for golf began in his youth when he caddied at Beaver Brook Country Club, where he remained a dedicated member for over 50 years. It was there that he made lifelong friendships and created treasured memories. An avid golfer, he found great joy on the course.

Danny faithfully attended Atkins Baptist Church. His unwavering faith and commitment to his community were evident in all aspects of his life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Danny’s life at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, where a receiving of friends will take place from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, followed by services at 7:00 PM, officiated by Reverend A.C. Cooper. Family and friends will meet at 12:45pm Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Danny had a loving spirit and zest for life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
