Ray D. Butler

Ray D Butler, 82, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a Faithful Child of God. In his family and community, Ray was inspirational in his devotion to God, and willingness to serve people. He loved all, and was dearly loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Boss and Creola Butler, Sister Lula Butler Kidwell, daughter Connie Collins, son Tony Reagan, and great-grandchild Chloé McKinney McCarter. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Marie Butler; his children John Butler, Ray Butler and wife Emily, Karen Reagan, Bob Reagan and wife Debbie, Rhonda Chambers and husband Odis, Mary Whaley and husband Arlie, Lisa Quilliams and husband Mike; brother Glenn Butler, Son-in-Law Michael Collins; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet 1:15 pm Friday at Shultz Cemetery located at 130 Shultz Rd. , Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a graveside service at 1:30.
