Randall Wayne Harbin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Harbin, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Randy was born on July 19, 1965, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Bud and Lois Harbin. 

From an early age, he developed a deep love for sports—a passion that guided him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Halls High School in the Class of 1983, he went on to play college basketball at Walters State and Lincoln Memorial University. His passion for the game was matched only by his love for his family, his friends, and the countless people whose lives he touched. 

Randy found great joy in spending time around the water and being surrounded by loved ones. He was known for his kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. His presence made every gathering more meaningful, and his impact on those around him will not be forgotten. 

A longtime member of Lonsdale United Methodist Church, Randy’s faith was a guiding force in his life. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. He is survived by his brothers, Greg (Donna) and Danny (Leslie); his three children, Courtney (Michael), Carleigh (Matt) and Caden (Morghan); his precious grandchildren, Blayne, Hank and Mason, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

 In honor of Randy’s devotion to his family, he would ask that donations be made to the Kennedy Ladd Foundation to help find a cure for his granddaughter, Blayne, in lieu of flowers.

The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home-Halls Chapel on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 4:00pm- 6:00pm, with a celebration of life to follow. Randy’s love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
