Ralph "Pedro" Mantooth Jr., age 71, of Knoxville, passed away April 19th 2022. He was born October 1, 1950 to the late Ralph and Edith Mantooth. He was a graduate of Holston High School class of 1968. After high school he joined the Navy. He was an active member of Loveland Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. Pedro dedicated 37 years to the City of Knoxville Fire Department, where he retired as a Captain in 2007. Upon his retirement he was an active member of the Retired Fireman Association and Carter Senior Center. During his journey on Earth, Pedro found joy in many things, including: riding motorcycles with friends, family trips to the beach, and participating in car shows. He had many God given talents. Not only will he be remembered as a professional wheeler and dealer at yard sales, but he also achieved a 2nd degree black belt in karate and passed his love of the sport on to his grandson. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Suzanne; brothers Don and Mark. Survived by: His daughter Tracie Bull and grandson Jed; Kelly Webster, who he loved like a second daughter; brother and sister in laws Steve and Trish James; Mike and Laurie James; Betty Mantooth; nephew and family Donny and Tonya Mantooth (Matthew and Katie); and a group of lifelong friends including Bobby McDaniel; and cherished grand-dog, Ryder. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Friday April 22, 2022 at Loveland Baptist Church (1320 Spring Hill Rd.) with service to follow at 7:00pm, officiated by Rev. Brandon Blair.
