Ralph J. Ham, age 83, passed away on May 9, 2022. Ralph was born on January 15,1939 in Flint Michigan, the son of Joseph and Helen (Matlock) Ham.
He started his career as a Yard Foreman at Sinclair Refining and moved on to serve others for many years as a Licensed Contractor until his retirement. He loved carpentry and in addition to building homes under contract, he built and remodeled several homes for his family. His building skills allowed him the freedom to move wherever his heart desired. Ralph and his family lived in many cities throughout Michigan and vacationed around the country. Family camping trips included such places as Niagara Falls, Estes Park Colorado, Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee and everywhere in between. In addition to his love of camping, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ralph and his wife Patricia attended Loveland Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Williams Ham, daughter; Shari Acker, and the mother of his six children; Sandra (Wise) Gardner, parents; Joseph and Helen (Matlock) Ham, and sisters; Ruth Roth, and Maxine Root.
Ralph is survived by his children; Teresa (Dennis) Armstrong of Michigan, Jeffrie Ham of Texas, Nancy Adams, Laura McClean and Gregory Ham of Michigan, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family memorial service in Michigan.
