Ralph J. Giles

Ralph J. Giles, born August 18, 1938 of Monroe County, Tennessee passed away October 27, 2018. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 519 for 40 years, and he retired from Roadway Express. He enjoyed the fellowship and fun of being a street rod owner for many years, where he met many of his dear friends. He enjoyed his family, NASCAR, and trips to Daytona Beach. He attended church at Lonsdale United Methodist Church, where he became a member in 1971. He is survived by wife of 59 years Shirley; son Greg (Tammy) Giles; daughter Sheri (Mike) Akers; grandchildren Loraleigh Akers, Sherissa (Brent) Lynch, Ashley (Josh) Duncan, and Kelly Akers (Gage Dunlap); great grandchildren Cooper Duncan and Josie Lynch. Family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, October 29, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Reverend Walter Cross officiating.
