Ralph Edward Pressley went to his eternal home in Heaven with his Lord and Savior on September 25, 2021 at the age of 90. He will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Della White Pressley; Children: Danny Pressley (Ann) and Lisa Cupp (Sammie); Grandchildren: Leanne (TJ), Julie, Matthew (Morgan) and Lindsey (Derek); Great-grandchildren: Brad, Brayden, Ethan, Kipton, Samuel, Levi, Kreston, and Reid. He will also be missed by his brother and partner in storytelling, George (late wife Mary); brother-in-law Albert (Ellen); and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents George and Myrtle Pressley and his sister Helen Riggs (Lee).
Born in Knoxville on August 13, 1931, Ralph grew to become an honorable Veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He began Ruh & Pressley Construction Company that grew to serve the community for decades with quality and honesty. A handsome man known by all for his quick wit and infamous jokes and stories, yet also well known for his integrity and generosity. He was a proud member of North Knoxville Church of God. His greatest achievement he would tell you was the honor of being Della's husband, a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed trips with his wife alongside George and Mary, a good bag of popcorn, being spoiled by creative gifts like tree farms and chocolate boxes made of money, watching his grandchildren's activities, job site rides with his dog, and helping others.
