Priscilla “Sue” Jackson, age 70, of Knoxville, TN passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at Tennova Residential Hospice. Sue was born on August 3, 1945 in Harlan County, KY to the late Lawrence and Dora Rice. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Junior” Jackson, and siblings, J.C. Rice, Clarence Red Rice, Charles Rice, Ballard Rice, Dora Bowers, Opal Jones, Pat Day and Mary Needham. Surviving siblings are James Rice, Bill Rice, and Lucy Skinner. She is survived by her son; Tim Jackson and significant other Heather Majka and son Jason Jackson and wife Jana Jackson. Stepchildren; David and Becky Jackson, Eugene and Ruby Jackson and Jodi Haynes. Grandchildren; Payton and Corbin Jackson, 6 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sue leaves behind a fiancé, Laurel Lassiter that has been her companion for the past 11 years, he was committed to her care and happiness. Sue cherished her long time friendship with Debbie Weaver. Sue worked for many years at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Patient Registration where she touched many lives with her kindness and sense of humor. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends, she taught many of us to cook, sew, crafting and to be the best that you can be in Life, we are forever blessed to have had such a special woman in our life. A special thank you to Jim Rice, her brother for being by her side at Hospice during her final days. The family greatly appreciated the wonderful and caring staff at Tennova Residential Hospice for their compassion and loving care provided to Sue and our family. There will be a Graveside Service at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, at 2 pm. Chaplain Phill Groos will officiate the service. Family and Friends will gather after the service at her home.
