Priscilla Dean Petty

Priscilla Faulconer Petty, age 83, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Harrison County, KY and Daytona Beach, FL, died August 5, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Petty; daughter, Johnnita Petty; her parents, Melvin and Julia Marshall Faulconer; and her sisters, Marie F. Adams and Anna M. Faulconer. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Stephen) Smith, Powell, TN; sisters, Sue F. Williams, Cynthiana, KY, Carrol (Ted) Carr, Versailles, KY, and Melba F. (Donnie) Doyle, Harrison County, KY; sister-in-law, Mattie P. Brannock, Kelat, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive. Known affectionately as “Belle of the Ball,” Priscilla had been a resident at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home since June 18, 2007. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude for all of the wonderful love and care Priscilla received from the staff at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home and from Caris Hospice over the past few months. They loved Priscilla and took just wonderful care of her. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a service following. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ben Atchley State Veterans’ Home Activities Dept. The burial will be in Daytona Beach, FL, at a date to be announced.
