Phyllis Wilson Cooper, age 65, of Heiskell, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on March 29, 1958. She was a long-time member of Unity Baptist Church.
Phyllis was a devoted Christian, loving mother, mimi, sister and friend. She began her professional career in bookkeeping after graduating from Norris High School and worked at P&W Construction until her passing.
Phyllis was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Vernie Wilson; brothers, Jeff Wilson, Warren Wilson, and Wade Wilson; nephews, Casey Wilson and Nathan Ridenour.
She is survived by daughters, Chassady Cooper, Chelsea Cooper (special friend, Jeremy Ellis); son, Judson Cooper and wife, Victoria; grandchildren, Tanner McClure, Jaxon Cooper, Oliva Cooper, Greyson Cooper and Bella Ellis; sisters, Susan and Bob Ridenour, Cindy and Bruce Vorce; brothers, Scott and Sherry Wilson, Darrin and Dana Wilson; also, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Special thanks to Victoria Hayes, UT Hospice nurse. The love and compassion Victoria showed Phyllis and the family during this difficult time will never be forgotten.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 10:45am at New Loyston Cemetery for a 11:00am graveside service officiated by Pastor Andy Lynn.
Pallbearers will be Scott Wilson, Matt Wilson, Tanner McClure, Marvin Bailey, Jeremy Ellis, and Eric Cooke.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jaxon Cooper and Greyson Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Believe Ministry, 5235 Salem Church Rd., Knoxville, TN 37938, by check or venmo, @StacyOinks.
