Peter Daniel Millet

On Monday, February 7, 2022, Peter Millet passed away at home surrounded by his family after having endured a lengthy and brutal battle with cancer. Peter was born in Port Jefferson, NY on September 3, 1970. He lived in Puerto Rico as a child before moving to Florida in 1980. He graduated from Tampa Tech in 1990 and married his wife, Melanie, one month later. They had two children, a daughter and a son. They lived in the Tampa Bay area before moving to Knoxville, TN in 2017. Peter is survived by his wife, Melanie Millet of 31 years, and his two children, Michaela Millet, 26, and Matthew Millet, 24, along with his parents Daniel and Sue Millet, his brother Philip Millet and sister Beckie Simcox (Robert Simcox), and his nieces Raquel Canter (Gary Canter) and Belle Prieto. Peter was a hard-working husband and father with a witty sense of humor, an infectious smile and steady spirit. He loved and cared for his family deeply. He was their rock and protector. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 3:00 PM at Fellowship North, 3203 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville TN, 37918 and a meal will be provided for family afterward.
