Peggy Laverne Taylor, age 91, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She graduated from Knoxville School of Nursing in 1951 and continued a career in nursing for the rest of her life. She enjoyed traveling and was affectionately known as the “Queen of Hilton Head.” She also was known for her Tuesday night family dinners, loved to garden, sing, and enjoy life to the full. Peggy was a devoted servant of Jehovah God, dedicated her life on August 1, 1957, and attended the Fountain City Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ellis H. Taylor Jr.; parents, Ernest and Volena Carrier; sister, Joyce McKinney; and great-granddaughter, Mollie Wilson. She is survived by her loving daughters, Teresa (Steve)Lynch and Volena (Dave)Wilson; brother, John Carrier; grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Wilson, Alison (Jason) Drolet , Kerry (Drew) Crook, Ryan (Shari) Lynch; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tripp Wilson, Henry Drolet, Whitney and Theo Crook, and Graham and Gavin Lynch. Thank you to all of the caregivers over the past 18 years. Special thanks to: Kieran Allison, Karen Baker, Lisa Gastuch, Jennifer McCroskey, Semon Sperling, Theresa Tinch, and Jessie Wells. There will be a family graveside service. A virtual memorial service will be delivered on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
