Peggy Jane Bright

August 27, 1932 — February 24, 2015

Peggy Burnette Bright, 82, Knoxville, left her loving family to join her husband and the good Lord in Heaven on February 24. Peggy was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1950. Prior to retirement, she was an LPN at Baptist Hospital and later worked in the pharmacy at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Christine Burnette; her husband, Jim; and brother, Toby. Peggy is survived by her adoring kids: Debby Meadows, Jimmy and Karen Bright, Doug and Peggy (P.J.) Bright, all of Knoxville. Nana so cherished her precious grandchildren: Todd and Tonya, Shane and Melissa, Scott, Kristi, Neylan, Jerrica, and Daylan along with eight great-grandchildren. She leaves a special brother-in-law Al Bright of Michigan, and several sisters-in-law, who she considered her own family along with her nephew Jackie Burnette of Lenoir City and several others special nieces and nephews, and several close friends. Our family would like to thank her dear neighbor Janice for all the love and care she gave her when needed. Her grandsons Todd, Shane, Scott, Neylan, Daylan, Justin, Austin, and Tyson will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3839 Buffat Mill Rd, Knoxville, 37914. Condolences may also be left on-line at www.mynattfh.com and on Facebook at Peggy Burnette Bright.
