Pauline Elizabeth Norton

Pauline “Polly” E. Morgan Norton, age 95, of Mascot, passed away February 26, 2017. She was a member of Mascot Baptist Church and Retiree of St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by loving husband of 63 years James O “Jim Hammer” Norton; parents W.M. “Bill” and Kathryn “Kitty” Morgan; brother Willis “Mossy” (Eva) Morgan; sisters Hazel (Ed) Lemons and Jean (Albert) Gibson. Survived by daughters Nancy Atkins and Brenda (Walter) Hughes; sisters Betty (Albert) Hart, Dorothy (OL) Taylor, and Jane (Jim) Potter; grandchildren Kim (Bob) Trentham, Jennifer (Leon) Birchfield, Chuck (Nathalie) Atkins, Candy (Jeff) Acuff, and Connie (Dale) Hurst; 11 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; friends and rangers of Cove Lake for 35 years. Special thank you to loving caregivers Martha Suffridge, Mattie Troutman, and staff at “Hodges Cottage” Dandridge. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday at Mascot Baptist Church with Celebration of life to follow at 2pm, with Rev. Lewis Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Roseberry Cemetery with Rev. Charles Nelson officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Cove Lake Rangers.
