Paula Lynn McConkey

After a long and courageous battle with several illnesses, Paula Lynn McConkey age 59, of Powell, died peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024. She finally met her savior face to face, the one she had sang about for so many years, and we will meet her again in sweet Beulah land. Paula was a faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church. She was a lover of cooking, baking, canning and sewing. She will be sadly missed by her husband Gary McConkey; parents, Don and Carolyn Garren; sons, Michael (Alicia) and Matthew; seven grandchildren, Jaxson, Haven, Lexi, Dallas, Kingston, Ellie, and Boston; stepsons, Eric and Robbie McConkey; brother Dwayne Garren (Julie) and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff in ICU at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM funeral service at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel officiated by Rev. Matt Caldwell and Rev. Chuck Daniels. On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM, for an 11:00 AM graveside service at Byrds Chapel Cemetery.
