Paul Maynard Claiborne

Paul Claiborne passed from this realm on September 14, 2022. He was a spiritual Christian, raised in the Methodist faith, and baptized at Fountain City United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Rice & Mayme Claiborne; wife Wanda Claiborne; Jewel Claiborne (mother of his children); children, Mark and Christopher Claiborne, Grandchildren Scotty and Seth Isaiah Claiborne, sisters and brothers-in-law Mary & Troy Kirk, Betty and Hoover Watson, Barbara Jean & Marty Ford; brother Roy Claiborne, niece and Nephew Ann King and Lucas Claiborne. Paul is survived by his children Pam & Mark Lawson, Tim & Donna Claiborne, Janet Claiborne, James Scott Claiborne, Matthew & Shirley Claiborne, and Tim Gumm & Candus Claiborne; step-children Greg & Patty Jones, Kenny & Carolyn Jones, and Kim Lawhorn. Grandchildren Jacob & Emily Brooks, Olivia Lawson, Tim Claiborne, Sarah Claiborne & Karley Weinkle, James Noah Claiborne, Molly Claiborne & Zach Bauer, Elijah Gumm and Stephen & Abigail Glann. Great Grandchildren Oliver, Oscar, Eleanor Bauer and Payton, Charlotte and Finnegan Gumm. Special family members Carolyn Gaut & George Dees, Taylor & Tracy Cochran and many more dear nieces, nephews, and cousins; last but never least his dearest boys Bumper and Winston. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 2:45pm for a 3:00pm graveside service at Shady Baptist Church 4825 Shady Road; Strawberry Plains, TN 37871. Mark Lawson, officiating. The family will be available before and after the service (2:00-4:00) at the Shady Baptist Church fellowship hall. This will be a time of fellowship and sharing in the celebration of Paul Claiborne’s life.
