Paul Herbert Schlachter

Paul Herbert Schlachter of Maynardville, Tennessee was born August 12, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio. He departed this life to be present with the Lord Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was a beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was the proud father of his surviving children Thomas (Margaret) Schlachter of Dallas ,TX, Linda Schlachter and Paula Schlachter of New York, New York and Christopher (Sylvia “Jenny”) Schlachter of Maynardville, TN. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Paul, Nicholas, Tommy, Chrissy, Zeb, Robert, Liam, McKinze, Adriana, Brianna, and Stella Schlachter and great grandchildren Braxton, Makenah, Keeton, Colton, Khalani, Mari, and Miya Schlachter. Also, he had many beloved friends and extended family. Preceded in death by father Paul Peter Schlachter and mother Mary Agnes (Matejka) Schlachter, loving companion Doris Hahn, and sister Ruth Fife. He was a retired machine repairman from General Motors Parma Metal Stamping Plant. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Occasionally he attended Twinville Missionary Baptist Church of Powell, Tennessee. We will be having a Celebration of Life. This date is to be determined. The family appreciates all the care he received from the doctors, nurses, and staff at North Knoxville Medical Center. He will be dearly missed and the family sincerely appreciates and thanks you in advance for your kind words, thoughts, and support during our time of bereavement.
