Paul E. Galyon, age 86, was carried to his Heavenly home by his angels after a long illness.
He was jeweler and owner of Galyon Jewelers until he retired. Paul enjoyed watching sports and officiating football, baseball and softball for 25 years. He organized a monthly get-together of his classmates from the class of 1950-1951 from Smithwood Grammar School. He was a fun-loving person, teasing and joking with people. He was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Jane Galyon; children, Kent of Pueblo, Colorado, Scott (Jody) of Lititz, Pennsylvania and Suzanne of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert (Kaye), Gary (Cindy); 2 fur babies, Sparkey and Sirious.
In the words of his daughter, “he was an old Timex, he took a lickin’ and kept on tickin”.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00am at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Sunny Strange officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Young Williams Animal Shelter or Smithwood Baptist Church.
