Paul Edward Clark, age 76, of Luttrell, TN joined his Heavenly Father in the early hours of Sunday, December 12, 2021. Paul was born March 16, 1945 to the late Reverend James Edward and Ethel Louise Clark. He was a 1963 graduate of Halls High School where he met his life long friend, J.C. Warwick and remained best friends to the end. Paul was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church, Corryton. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Paul owned and operated Riverside Market and Deli for forty-four years before finally shutting the doors for the last time on December 21, 2018. Over those years at Riverside Market and Deli, Paul met and made many friends. Some of the most special, but not all include, Charlie Lynch, Lt. Gordon Gwathney, Bill Dockery, Greg Black, Steve Dalton and Roy Myers. Paul also met and hired Merivel (Mary) to assist him at the store, and in doing so, became the closest of friends. Not only her, but her husband Juaquin and daughters, Vanessa and Ayleen Martinez. Paul enjoyed fishing and cutting and splitting firewood. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cindy (Calvin) Wheat; son, James Paul Clark; siblings, Louise (David) Geldmier and James Alan Clark; grandchildren, Seth (Meghan) Wheat, Caleb (Gwendolyn) Wheat, Luke Wheat; great grandchildren, Jack Carson, Jaxton and Katherine; a niece and several nephews, special neighbors and dear friends, Betty Satterfield, Randy Vanzant and family, David, Kayla, Garrett and Case Newcomb. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 16, 2021 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Reverend Jerry Oliver officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10:30 AM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service. Pallbearers will be Seth Wheat, Caleb Wheat, Luke Wheat, Calvin Wheat, Lt. Gordon Gwathney and Joaquin Martinez.
