Paul Allen Reynolds, of Townsend, passed away peacefully July 18, 2016 at home. Born September 22, 1938, Paul was a member of First Lutheran Church of Knoxville and worked as a civil engineer. He was the former owner of Phoenix Construction Company. He also served as City Commissioner and Vice Mayor of Townsend, TN. Paul was the survivor of a double lung transplant that he needed as a result of pulmonary fibrosis. Unfortunately, he later developed lymphoma which he bravely fought until the end. Paul was preceded in death by grandson Wesley Paul Robinson, parents Lucy and Arthur “Ott” Reynolds, sister Imogene Cox, and brother A.L. Reynolds. Survivors include wife Norma Branum Reynolds, children Teresa Robinson and husband Frank of Greenback, TN, and Christina Henry and husband Jared of Coalfield, TN, grandchildren Elizabeth Robinson, and Leeah and Austin Henry, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to Duke Medical Center’s Lung Transplant Team and Oncology departments, UT Cancer Institute, and Asbury Place of Maryville, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews Archie, Gordon, and Kelmer Reynolds, and Gary Cox, sons-in-law Jared Henry, and Frank Robinson, and grandson Austin Jared Henry. Family and friends will meet 9:45 am Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery on Raccoon Valley Road in Knoxville, TN for graveside services at 10 am.
