Patrick Matthew Meighan

Patrick Matthew Meighan, 55, died suddenly at home on May 5, 2023.  Born on August 20, 1967, he was a 1985 graduate of Halls High School and attended the University of Tennessee before joining American Airlines where he worked for 32 years before retiring.   He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Meighan, Jr. as well as his grandparents Charles J. and Margaret L. Shults.  Patrick is survived by his loving mother, Mary M. “Molly” Meighan; siblings Terry Sharp (Rusty), Colleen Bartlett (Mike), Joe Meighan, III (Lori), Julie Meighan and Dan Meighan; nieces and nephews Christi Thompson, Geoffrey Thompson, Michael Bartlett, Morgan Bartlett, Joey Meighan, Jacob Meighan, Bailie Meighan and Parker Meighan.  In addition to family and extended family Patrick had an amazing circle of friends that loved and supported him and that he loved like family. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. In lieu of flowers please honor Patrick’s love for animals by making a donation to the pet charity of your choice. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
