Patrick Anthony Mastrianni, beloved son of Monica Mastrianni and the late Anthony Mastrianni, went to the loving arms of His Lord on March 16, 2022, his 33rd birthday.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, Patrick was raised in Effingham County, graduating from South Effingham Highschool, and attended USC Bluffton, transferring to Kennesaw State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Patrick participated in basketball and cross-country team sports during his school years.
A true lover of people and a humble servant of our Lord, Patrick enjoyed jobs for the Green Hills YMCA in Nashville, TN and most recently at Page International in Savannah, GA. More importantly to him, Patrick loved connecting people, making new friends, supporting small and local businesses, traveling and sports of all kinds. Although Patrick felt loneliness and despair at the end of his life, he spent 32 years and 364 days investing in relationships with others! He had the most giving of hearts.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Monica, his sister, Alyssa Mastrianni-Wyatt, and brother-in-law Holten, step-brother Clay Hester, wife Helen and their children Sanders, Lizzie and Claire, step-brother Wesley Hester, wife Jessica and their son, Cohen. He is also survived by his grand-mother, Dixie Diffenderfer, Uncle Bill Diffenderfer, his wife Dianne, Aunt Rachel Ritchie and husband Philip. Cousins April, Will and Robin Diffenderfer. Paternal aunts Andrea Hodge and Valerie Mastrianni, paternal cousins Charles and Leslie Hodge and a number of well-loved extended family members.
Patrick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dominick and Anne Mastrianni, maternal grandfather, Bill Diffenderfer, his father Anthony Mastrianni and his stepfather Thomas C. Hester.
Patrick will be desperately missed but we know that he is healed and resting in the arms of the one who loves him more than we can possibly fathom. We celebrate his life, salvation, and his spiritual legacy.
A celebration of Patrick’s life was held at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, Savannah, on Friday, March 25, 2022.
A second celebration of life and interment will be held at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Knoxville, TN at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 9th. We welcome all family and friends who would like to join us there.
Remembrances may be made to Xcel Strategies and Green Hills YMCA Youth Sports, both organizations holding a special place in his heart.
