Orville “Bill” W. Irwin, age 90 of Knoxville, passed away September 12, 2017 at Tennova North in Powell. He was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy, Joint Communication in Guam. Preceded in death by parents Rev. William Henry and Minnie Irwin and 2 infant sisters. Survived by wife of 65 years Betty Ir-win; daughters Vickie (Carl) Roberson and Cathy (Jim) King; son Mark (Lynn) Irwin; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy (John) Pappas, Anna Lawson, and Sandra (Bill) Teffeteller; several nieces and nephews. Ser-vice will be 7:00p.m. Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 11:15a.m. Monday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for 11:30a.m. interment.
