Opal Geneva Stooksbury

January 4, 1925 — April 25, 2018

Opal G. Stooksbury, born January 2, 1925, passed away April 25, 2018. Opal was a life-long member of Black Oak Ridge Baptist Church and worked for Knox County schools. Preceded in death by husband Milas Stooksbury; parents Worth and Bertha Walton; brothers Adrian and Junior Walton; sisters Christine Palmer, Ruth Best, and Janey Walton. Left to cherish her memory are son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Judy Stooksbury; sister Dorothy Jean Bailey; brothers David and Terry Walton and family; stepmother Belva Walton; grandchildren Tim and Tracy Farmer, Elizabeth Edmonds; beloved great grandson Harrison Farmer; several loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Monday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 1pm interment. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Pastor Gary Capps and Rev. Donnie Walton officiating.
