Opal Elkins Brummitte

Opal Elkins Brummitte, age 92, passed away May 12, 2022. She was a long-standing member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Ibbie Elkins and sister, Donia Carden Stooksbury; brothers, Wyatt, Burl and Earl Elkins. Opal will be greatly missed by her daughter, Becky (Lynn) Holt; sons, Ben (Dawn) Brummitte and Mark Brummitte; grandchildren, Brad (Holly) Roach, Nick Holt, Dallas (Megan) Brummitte, Kayla (David) Newcomb, Neal (Heather) Palmer and Trent (Morgan) Palmer; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Brody Roach, Garrett and Case Newcomb, Reece, Charlie and Mason Palmer, and Taylor Stevens; sisters, Minnie and Naomi Elkins; brother, Owen (Julia) Elkins; and special nephews, Brent Elkins and Dennis Carden. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Caris Healthcare Team and NHC-Oak Ridge. Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 9711 Cedar Grove Church Rd, Powell, TN 37849 for a 10:00 am graveside service with Rev.
