Opal Mae (Reynolds) Beason, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 20 at Tennova North Medical Center after a well fought battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur (Junior) Beason, and grand-daughter Tawana Beason. Surviving family members include sons Darrell (Jill), Michael (Teresa) and daughter Colleen (Randy), grandchildren: Lindsay (Jason) King, Tyler, Jessica (Tony) Blanco, Beth (Ryan) Crotty, Brittney (Matt) Thomas, great-grandchildren: Jacie (Eli) Clabough, Jaxton and Jaylie King, Zaylee Etherton, Madison, Blakely, and Braxton Thomas, Bennett and Sullivan Crotty and her great-great grandson Jericho Clabough, special sister and best friend Margaret Rutherford. Family will receive friends 6:00-7:00pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Jerry Lynch officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:15pm Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 1:30pm interment.
