Oleva Maddox Braden of Maynardville, born on March 26, 1924, and passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021. Oleva was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Christian and long-time member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. She has earned the love and respect of her friends and family. Preceded in death by husband Mack Richard Braden; son Michael Braden; son-in-law Samuel Jelf; parents Charlie and Matilda Maddox; brothers Jack, Gilbert, Haskell, and Edgar Maddox; sisters Ruby Kelley, Sybil June Berry, Mary Jane Edwards, Deloris Seal, and Virginia Heath. Survived by children Sandra Braden Jelf, Johnny Mack Braden, and Barbara Braden Chandler (Steve); grandchildren Gregory Braden Jelf (Joanna), Tonya Jelf, and Candace Russell (Travis) and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Following the visitation family and friends will meet at New Loyston Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.mynattfh.com.
