Norbet Howard Roper

Norbet Howard Roper, age 62 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Norbet was an avid sports fan. He loved to connect with family and friends by calling them over the phone. He loved to take walks and taking care of his dear fur baby, Berlina. He was involved in church and serving the Lord. Norbet was a prayer warrior and his prayers will be missed by all.

Preceded in death by mother, Ella Mae Roper; father Owen Smith; grandmother, Delphia Roper; great aunt, Fannie Thompson; aunts, Halene Jefferies, Juanita Kyle, and Josephine Thompson; uncle, Daaron Shamond Goins, and devoted uncle, Harold Roper Jr.

He is leaving behind his wife of 20 years, Polly Roper; sisters, Eleanor Stacy, Janet Knuckles, Yolanda Manning, Dezmere (Ken) Gordon, Leah (Sheffield) Harris; brother Christopher (Erika) Roper; sister-in-law, Amy Dunbar; loving nieces Shameka (Keivee) Roper, LaShonda Smith, Lyshandra Roper, Lakia Marion, Maya Harris; step niece, Shamika (Ebed Sr) McRoy; devoted nieces, Savannah Dunbar and Ireland Dunbar; nephews, Jarvis "Angel" Roper, Melvin Roper, Jamar (Shanique) Stacy, Sekhomi (Brandie) Knuckles, Kadeem Knuckles, Lawunie Roper, Aaron Roper; devoted Uncle Rev. Julius Roper and Doris Roper; devoted loving great nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Overcoming Believers Church located at 211 Harriet Tubman St, Knoxville, TN 37915. A service will follow at 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Online condolences may be expressed at mynattfh@gmail.com.
