Nelliv Wilson Courtney

Nelliv Wilson Courtney, age 91, of Corryton, went Home to be with her Lord, Thursday, May 2, 2013 at NHC Holston. Long-time resident of Inskip, Mrs. Courtney was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, then Pratt Road Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending Sunday School. She owned and operated Nell's Beauty Shop for many years. Preceded in death by parents Finnamore & Rhoda Knox Wilson, sisters, Naoma Wilson, Savilla Hammonds, Dorothy Fugate, brothers, Howard Wilson, Wayne Wilson, and loving husband, Robert G. (Bob) Courtney. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Joan Patterson of Knoxville, Shirley Hoek of Jacksonville, FL, Mike Courtney of Knoxville, grandchildren Jason Summers, Mike Hoek, Brent Courtney, and several great-grandchildren, special friends Jean Edwards, Gary Caldwell, Wade and Betty Jones. The family would like to thank the wonderful and loving people at NHC Holston for the excellent care they each gave to Mrs. Courtney and to her family during her stay. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral Service 7 pm Sunday Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Kitts officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:30 am Monday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Highway for interment. Family will receive friends Sunday, May 5, 5:00-7:00 at Mynatt's Funeral Home, Fountain City.
