Nell Moyers Blevins, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2013. She was born in Liberty Hill, TN on August 30, 1919 to Henry D. and Rozella Acuff Moyers. The eldest of four children, she graduated from Washburn High School before moving to Knoxville. She was a long-time member of Washington Pike Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She later belonged to Salem Baptist and then to First Baptist, Fountain City. She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Blevins, parents, sister Mary Harless and brothers Ben and Henry, Jr. Moyers and best friend, Faye McNeil. She will be missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bill Catlett, Betty and Howard Blum; grandchildren, Lisa (Danny) Goins, Jeff Catlett, Kevin (Stephanie) Catlett, Alicia (Rick) Scrimger, Caterina (Craig) Mason, Julie (Greg) Linsin and Rick (Susanne) Blum; great-grandchildren Eric and Grant Goins, Connor and Avery Catlett, Isabella and Mila Mason, Skylar and Sydney Kate Scrimger, Hannah and Leah Linsin, Cooper, Leila and Neve Blum, sister in law, Louise Downs, nieces and nephews and good friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Lynn and Leon Leuciuc of L & L Sweet Home Care and Sheree McMahan and Tonya Cheatham and the staff at NHC Knoxville for their loving and compassionate care. Friends are welcomed to meet 3:15pm Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 3:30pm with receiving of friends to follow from 5-6:30pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Celebration of Life will follow at 6:30pm, Rev. John Holland officiating.
