Nancy Merritt

Nancy “Dolly” Merritt, age 65, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. She was a beautiful vessel of God’s love that inspired many with her music ministry. She enjoyed spending her time with her special dog Molly. Preceded in death by her father Earl Thomas, mother Barbara Heath, grandson, Kaden (Kade) Beau Massengile, daughter Teresa Collins and late husband of 28 years, Dexter Merritt. Survivors include her children: Donny (Rhonda), Scott (Tammy), Bo (Heather), Melanie Culbertson and Hope (Bradley) Massengile; grandchildren: Brittany Riggs, Chris Griffin & Lee Merritt, Carter, Chase, and Bria Merritt, Isaiah Harmon and Henley Culbertson, Cole and Cambri Massengile; siblings: Bill (Doris) Justice, Gina (Jim) Xenos and Chuck (Penny) Justice along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service following at 8:00 PM. Eulogist, Bo Merritt. Rev. Jody Darden officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 12:45 PM in Sherwood Memory Gardens for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
