Nancy M. Jones

Nancy M. Jones, age 81 of Knoxville, went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, after a short, hard-fought battle with breast cancer. She retired in 2008 from Y-12 after 28 years of service. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was blessed to have so many special friends from her church family and her work family. She will be dearly missed by so many. She is preceded in death by her father; Claude “Red” McMillan, mother; Georgia McMillan, and sister; Claudia McMillan Hardin. She is survived by her daughter; Elizabeth “Beth” A. Jones of Knoxville, nephew; Mark (Michelle) A. Payne of Macon, GA, and her special and faithful four-legged companion, Cooper. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Cedar Ln United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 8, 2023. A service will follow at 3:00pm, with Rev. Richard Richter officiating, as well as Michael and Joy Bundon providing the music. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Young-Williams Animal Shelter.
