Myrtle Monroe Weaver

Myrtle Monroe Weaver, age 89, went to be with the Lord on December 3rd, 2016. She was a longtime member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. “Myrt” was born and raised in Union County and was a graduate of Maynardville High School, where she was a member of the Women’s Championship Basketball Team. She loved all sports and was an avid Vols fan. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lon C. Weaver, and eleven beloved brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Bill (Brenda), Kathy (Bill Sisco), and Jane (Wayne Mackey). Nine grandchildren, Cindy Ogden, Carrie Gibson, Justin Mackey, Joshua Mackey, Beth Albright, Matthew Weaver and Dawn Henry. Nineteen great- grandchildren, sister, Alva Fann of Las Vegas, NV, beloved sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and good friends. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Beaver Dam Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday December 6th, 2016 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. Dr. Alan Price will be officiating.
