Mildred Kay Lawson, age 65, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2017. She was a retired LPN after many years of service. She was a loving sister, mother and nana. She was preceded by her parents, William & Gladys Butcher; brother, William Eugene Butcher; and son-in-law, Ian Wilcox. She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Wilcox and her two children, Alexander and Ethan Wilcox; and daughter, Amanda Garrett, and her husband Billy, and their children Isabell, Lilly, and Ava; sisters, Peggy Sise and husband Frank, and Linda Keisling; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, Bella and Simba. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to West View Elementary School, 1714 Mingle Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 4pm at First Presbyterian Church, 620 State St., Knoxville, TN 37902.
