Millie "MeMe" Greer, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home. Millie was born in Columbia, KY to the late Newsome and Elizabeth Moss. She was raised in Bardstown, KY and then graduated from Transylvania University. She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 59 years, Blake Greer, brother, Paul Moss and her grandsons John Thomas and Hananiah David Greer. Millie was a retired teacher of 42 years where she loved to be a part of seeing children learn. She taught Sunday School for many years and served on several mission trips throughout the world where she loved to share about Jesus. She enjoyed her retirement traveling across the country and joyfully watching her grandchildren play sports and do what they love. MeMe loved each of her grandchildren and was delighted to tell stories to anyone who would listen. She was a member of Fountain City Church for 42 years and a part of the Golden Circle Class for all of those years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Tina Greer, grandchildren, Jackson and fiancé, Lauren Snodgrass, Anna Claire, Anna Kate, Dylan, Chase, Alivia, Sophia, Jacob Thomas (JT), and Elijah, as well as several other loving family and friends, including her LifeGroup of over 42 years. A receiving of friends will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00pm. Pastors David Haynes and Donny Wadley will be officiating. Family will meet at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 at 1:45pm on Monday, March 14, 2022 for a 2:00pm committal service.
