Mildred Ruth Ellis

Mildred Ruth Ellis, age 94, of Powell, passed away early Saturday morning, October 19, 2024. She was saved at a young age, and was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – but the Lord was her first love. She is preceded in death by son; William Mark Ellis, grandson; Shaun Ellis, mom and dad; Bruce and Lucille Cassady, sister; Beulah Ellis, and brother; Earl Cassady. She is survived by loving husband of 74 years, Bill Ellis and sons Paul (Darlene), Tim (Rosalee) and David (Diane); daughters Karen (Kenneth) Brooks, Sue Williams; sister-in-law, Bonnie Cassady and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved so dearly; Felicia Daniels, Dallan Ellis, April Gilbert, Caleb and Josh Brooks, Cameron and Addison Ellis and Reagan, Colton Daniels, Easton Oakley, Layton, and Bexley Ellis. Special thanks to NHC Knoxville and Smoky Mountain Hospice for all your love and care. Receiving of friends will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the funeral to follow. Reverend Jerry Walton will be officiating. The family and friends will meet for an 11:00 am interment, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, located on E. Wolf Valley Rd., Heiskell, TN.
