“Mickey” Claude Michael Franklin, age 65 of Knoxville, transitioned to Heaven April 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A follower of Christ, avid marksman, and a 5th degree black belt in Ishinryu karate. He enjoyed Andy’s Junction with his wife and friends and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corp. and retired from Porcelain Products after 23 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Claude and Edna Faye Franklin; step-daughter, Nikki Cude; special friend and mother-in-law, Peggy Arnold. Survived by wife, Penny Franklin; daughters, Buffy Franklin, Bethany Franklin, Cristen Franklin; step-children, Carson Cude, Trey Cude; granddaughter, Wraith Ethridge; brothers, Sonny and (Diane) Franklin, John and (Kathy) Franklin; brother, Kyle Franklin; sister, Sandy and (Brian) Wolfe; special friend, Sandra Franklin; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, honor Mickey by helping at least one person in need. Memorial service 7:00 pm Monday at Redemption Harvest Church with Rev. Jody Darden officiating.
