Michael Jason "Elvis" Smith

Michael Jason "Elvis" Smith age 51, of Strawberry Plains, Tn passed away at his home on February 12, 2025 after a brief illness. He always walked to his own beat in life & he loved motorcycles. Being on his bike on the open road was one of his greatest joys. He was a beloved Brother, Uncle, Friend and Son. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lena Jaunita Harmon Strange; stepfather, George Strange, Jr.; uncle, Michael "Mickey" Harmon; grandmother, Martha Delitha Smith and grandfather, James M. Smith. He is survived by his beloved sister, Martha Renee Pressley; niece, Amber Corum (Justin); nephew, Jeffrey Jones; great niece, Melody; great nephews, Kaidyn & Toryn and a host of extended family and several close friends.

A special thank you to his cousin, Jeffrey Anderson for all the help you've given him over the years and always having his back no matter what. A special thank you to his cousin, David Pollard for all the good times and you always had his back too. He loved you both like brothers. A special thank you to Junior Phelps, who was like a brother to him with a friendship of over 30 years, for always being there for him in the good times and bad. 

Jason was a long time employee of More Than Plants in Strawberry Plains. A special thank you to his friend, Kevin Blevins and the entire Blevins family for always treating him like he was one of their own. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 5:00-7:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00PM, Ron Mouser is officiating.
