Michael Edward Burnette

Michael Edward Burnette, age 63, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord September 25, 2016. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and a loving father and grandfather. His daughter and two grandchildren were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by father Mayford Burnette, mother Mary Lou Burnette, and brother David Burnette. Survivors include daughter Lori Ann Hensley and husband David, grandchildren Owen Edward Hensley and Stella Ruth Hensley, brothers Ronnie Burnette and wife Nancy, and Phil Burnette and wife Mary Kay, aunts Lucy Peltier and Lois Large, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7 pm. Family and friends will meet 9:45 am Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment service at 10 am
