Michael Conrad Sexton (Mike), 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Knoxville on April 19, 2022. Mike was a 1966 graduate of Holston High School. He worked for many years in the grocery business, first with White Stores and then with K-VA-T/Food City for 44 years before retiring in 2009 as a District Manager. Mike had a large loving family with sisters, nieces and nephews that he always looked forward to seeing. Mike enjoyed fishing at Norris Lake, fishing trips to Canada with friends, UT sports, being outside in the sunshine, and he loved retirement. Above all, he was an adoring husband to his wife of 56 years, Sandra Brown Sexton, and he cherished his two children, Lisa Sexton Berger (Doug) and Michael Christopher Sexton (Natalie). His three beautiful granddaughters, Ella, Galen and Claire, brought him so much joy. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Ella Sexton, his brother, John Sexton, and his sister, Doris French. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Brown Sexton, children, Lisa Sexton Berger (Doug) and Michael Christopher Sexton (Natalie), three granddaughters, Ella, Galen and Claire, two sisters, Pat Borden and Eleanor Brown as well as sisters-in-law, Pam Jennings and Joann Sexton and brother-in-law, David Jennings. There will be a gathering of friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Beaver Brook Country Club 6800 Beaver Brook Drive Knoxville, TN. 37918 from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. Celebration of Life.
