Melvin W. Noe

Melvin W. Noe, age 83, of Powell, went to be with the Lord, April 29, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Essie Noe, sisters, Helen Presley, Mattie Tilley, and Kathleen Rymer, brothers, Ralph, Edgar, Eugene, Paul, Carl, and Kenneth Noe. Survived by loving and devoted wife, of 56 years, Margaret Brown Noe, daughter, Debbie (Ray) Swiger, son, Michael, grandchildren Josh (Jennifer) Swiger, Jeremy (Sabrina) Swiger, Anthoney, Sasha, and Nikki Noe, great-granddaughter, Emely Swiger, brother, Alfred (Helen) Noe, of Georgia, sisters-in-law, Ruth Noe, of Tennessee, and Ruth Noe, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. To know him was to love him. He always helped others and never thought of himself. He was a well known metal fabricator and loved gardening. Service will be 8pm Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Lester Mullins and Rev. Maston Jackson officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:30pm Thursday at the funeral home and proceed to Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 1pm interment. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
