Melissa McCoig Smith (Missy) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Missy was a devoted wife and mother and lover of all things crafty.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Wilma McCoig.
Survived by her husband, Jeff, of 25 years; children – Annie, Allena, and Joe; brothers, Brian (Linda) McCoig and Mark (Amy) McCoig; brothers-in-law, Earl (Ann) Smith and Jerry (Linda) Smith; sister-in-law, Sherri (Michael) Bartlett, beloved aunt, Mary McCoig, and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 1:00pm until time of funeral service at 3:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 12:45pm at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
