Melbia Kate Shell

Melbia Kate Davis Shell, age 81 of Powell, passed away September 8, 2021. She attended Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Kate worked 40 years in the Anderson County School System as a substitute teacher and cherished all of her students. She loved her family and her animal companions. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Thomas Shell; Parents Clifton C. Davis and Elletha P. Davis; Brothers, Jack D. Davis and Melvin Ray Davis. Survived by daughters Lisa Shell Whitfield (Dennis Whitfield) and Regina Shell (John Petree), and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Norris Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kyle Shell officiating.
