Melaina Dawn Trawally

Melaina Dawn Chitwood Trawally, age 42, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord March 13, 2020. A native of Scott County, Oneida area, Melaina always cared for and put others before herself. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and friend. She was also very independent and would do anything for her children. She was preceded in death by parents, Norman Chitwood and Judy Chitwood Duncan, and grandparents, Bannon & Ethel Chitwood, Rev. Sherman Smith, and Beulah Smith Posey. Survivors include husband of four years, Musa Trawally, children, Korey, Christin, and Breanna Terry, brother, Patrick Chitwood, sister, Makallia Trammell, several aunts and an uncle, and special friend, Dedra Pierce. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm, Monday, March 16, 2020, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 6 pm with Pastor Thomas Mills officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Rev. Sherman Smith Family Cemetery, 2685 Alderville Road, Winfield, TN.
