Maxine Mackey

 Maxine Mackey, age 87, our Mom, Mamaw Seen, beheld the face of her Savior on January 10, 2024. What a glorious day! Maxine was born on July 17, 1936 in Nantahalah, North Carolina to the late Henry McGilbert Mason and Margaret Luziene Mason. She was preceded in death by her four sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her children, Melanie (Eddie) Bloomer, Robert Mackey, Kristi (Daniel) Shuemaker, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Evans, Mason Evans, Kayla Bloomer, Austin (Brooke) Bloomer, Katrina Mackey, Gabe (Maddie) Shuemaker, Asher Shuemaker, Karis Shuemaker, Graceson Shuemaker, and great grandson Reed Crowder along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Maxine was a longtime member of Trinity Community Church where she served as the church accountant for many years. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM, Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with Pastor Scott Turner and Pastor Robert Ellis officiating. Roberta Potter will provide the music. Family and friends will meet 2:00 PM Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a graveside service.
