Matthew Dean Cantrell, age 37 of Knoxville, TN died unexpectedly on May 24th, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father; Jeffery E. Cantrell, Father in law; Mike Milks, Grandparents; Ray Nell Stewart and C.N. Buddy Crockett, Rita Tindell.He is survived by his wife; Lori Cantrell, Children; Gavin, Blaine, Keegan Cantrell; Mother; Nan Cantrell, Siblings; Nick (Tiffany and Audrey Johnson) Cantrell, Jeffery Cantrell, Jessica (Dave) Robison, Derek (Jenna) Milks, Inlaws; Janee (Brian) Helget, Grandparents; Harold and Wilma Cantrell, Several aunts, uncles and cousins, Goddaughter; Emery (David and Beth) Curington, Special friends of the family; Becky, Ryan, Bri Curington, Leann (Marshall) Tindell, Isaac (Destiny), Bubba (Alexis and Arizona) Wilson, Jordan (Chandler) Massengale, Emily, Ande, Alyssa, Karra, Addison Boyer, Malcolm Tindell, Nathan (Trish) King, Niece/Nephew; Cadence Cantrell, Jocelyn Cantrell, Katie Ritter, Braxton Milks. Matt touched so many lives on and off the football field. He loved spending his time coaching and watching his players. Matt would always be your biggest fan or the first to pick you up when you needed it. He enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycle. Matt enjoyed spending time with his children, especially fishing at the beach. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday June 22nd, 2023 at OneLife Church, 3503 W Emory Rd, Powell, TN 37849, from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM. Memorial to follow at 7:00 PM. We ask that if you would like, wear Halls attire. If Matt coached you at any point, we will have three footballs for his players to sign. Players please sign all three. We also ask if you have any pictures of Matt please bring a hardcopy. The footballs and pictures will be a keepsake for Matt’s children.
