Mary Emmaline Worley Williams, age 90 years 4 months 2 weeks and 5 days. Our mama’s prayers were answered when she left this world and went to see and live with Jesus and her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2018 at the earthly home she shared with her daughter and caregiver Malinda Boles. Mama was proud of her age and would gladly tell everyone her age in years, months, weeks and days; giving God the glory and praise for each day. Mama loved to sing about Jesus. She knew Jesus held the future and she knew He held her hand. Mama would say “I like to think Jesus is holding my hand. I might grow weak and I might let go but with Jesus holding my hand I know he will never let go.” Mama loved to tell others about Jesus and share her testimony. Mama also knew and believed to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the Heavens. A time to be born and a time to die – Ecclesiastes Chapter 3. Mama was a member of the graduating 1947 Class of Cosby High School. Mama and Dad were married on September 2, 1947. While living in Knoxville, Mama has been a member of several different churches; Blood Bought Full Gospel, Cross Roads Baptist Church (Old Broadway), Solid Rock Baptist (South Knoxville), Hines Valley Baptist, Sutherland Avenue Baptist, Frasier Street. When asked “How are you?”, Mama would answer “I’m doing great with the help of the Lord!”. When asked “What do you contribute your longevity to?”, Mama always said “Honor thy Father and thy Mother that thy days be long upon the land which the Lord thy God hath given thee.” – Exodus 20:12 KJV. Mama was a member of Woodmen of the World Chapter 1072 for over 25 years. When Mama reached Heaven, waiting to be reunited with her were her husband Carl Williams; only son Jack Williams, sons-in-law Malcolm “Butch” Epps, Rev. Dennis “Bear” Boles, Rev. Johnny Boles and Lance Henry; several grand angels and great grandangels including great grandson JJ Bailey and great-great grandchildren Madie Moore; parents Ottis and Celia Worley; siblings Claude, Paul, Dewey, Elmer “Chalk” Worley, Trula Webb, Letha (Paul) Bradley, Ruth (Claude) Yates, Pearl (Robert) Fann and Ruby (Raines) Williamson; siblings by marriage James Raines Sr. and Ellie Stuart Worley; niece Brenda Yates Ramsey and nephew Ronnie Bradley. Waiting to see Jesus and to be reunited with Mama, friends and family are daughters Malinda and Easter Boles; grandchildren Karen (James) Bailey, Mari (Nick) Hopson, Joey Williams, Mary (Brian) Long, Misty and Kimberly Boles; great grandchildren Destany and Trevor Hopson, Emmalee (Mikey) Moore, Devin and Chelsea Hickman, Grace and Jeremiah Daniel Bailey, Shaun Jr., Rosie, Blake, Spencer. We want to extend a special thanks to UT Hospice, especially Tami Jo, Josh, Brittany and Dexter, for their kindness, compassionate and loving care of not only our mother but also our family. They treated us with respect and dignity. A special thank you to Barbie Payne, management and residents of Love Towers who have helped in so many ways. There are too many to name all who have visited, ran errands, called, text or asked about mama in passing and most importantly prayed for us.
