Mary Evelyn Willett “Mimi”, age 90, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 3, 2024. Mary Evelyn was born and raised in Luttrell, TN. Daughter to the late Stewart and Seattle Snodderly. She was a graduate of Gibbs High School and ETSU. Mary Evelyn was a retired Knox County School’s teacher of 30 years, a member of the ADK and the Corryton Eastern Star #337 for 50 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Willett Jr.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and David Powell; sister, Lonette King; special granddaughters, Heather and Emily Powell; nephews, Andy King and Brian Cutshall, as well as several nieces.
The family would like to Thank the staff of Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s in Powell and Nurse Lisa with UT Hospice for the wonderful care that Mrs. Mary “Mimi” had.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00PM, Pastor Jeremy Cox officiating. On Tuesday, May 14, 2024 family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel at 10:15AM to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00AM graveside service. Ms. Willett had one request, that no one wear black to her services! Pallbearers carrying “Mimi” to her resting place are Steven Berry, Daniel Howie, Jeff Richardson, Charles Kitts, Brian Cutshall, and David Powell. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
